首先要说的是今年的终生成就奖终于颁给了Stephen Sondheim！！！
向Sondheim致敬！！！
Sondheim是迄今为止获得Tony奖次数最多的剧作家（七座创作奖项）。00年进入70岁高龄后，他的作品屡屡复排并创造佳绩，今年被复排的作品Sunday in the Park with George更是仅有的七部普利策获奖音乐剧之一。他所开创的概念音乐剧使得音乐剧的表现力大大扩充，在我看来使得音乐剧的话语方式真正与话剧分道扬镳，90年代在美国本土音乐剧界崭露头角的新一代剧作家则很明显是在Sondheim的影响下成长起来的。

有三部新剧燃起了我的兴趣，首先当然是获得了十三项提名很可能成为本届TONY大赢家的In the Heights；其次是Passing Strange，最佳音乐剧提名之外，它的作者Stew还获得了剧本、词曲、男主、编舞四项提名，直觉告诉我这或许又是一位百老汇奇才；再然后是Xanadu，不知道这个奇特的名字囊括着什么。（另外稍微支持一下Grease，Step It Up and Dance中我最欣赏的选手就在这个cast里）这些等到论文告一段落之后就找来看看吧。
最后，今年的TONY奖颁奖典礼将于6月15日举行，由<修女也疯狂>的主演Whoopi Goldberg主持，届时CBS将进行直播。（哈哈，我正好能看到CBS，今年竟然可以看到直播了！！）
